Mr. Trump: Tear Down This Wall!

Which wall?

The laws, rules, regulations, executive branch and federal agency proclamations and issuances, memos, guidance documents, bulletins, circulars, announcements with practical regulatory effect, “significant” agency guidance documents, and thousands of other such documents that are subject to little scrutiny or democratic accountability, and that have stifled entrepreneurship, jobs, the economy, and innovation.

That Wall.  Tear it down, Mr. Trump.

Of the 10 highest-ever Federal Register regulation page counts, Obama is responsible for seven. Obama keeps breaking his own record! 77,687 (2014); 78,961 (2012); 79,311 (2013); 80,260 (2015); 81,247 (2011); 81,405 (2010).; and 91,642 (2016).  That's an Atlas-back-breaking total of over 570,000 pages.  There are some "fact checkers" who quibble about number of pages versus number of regulations, blah, blah.  However, the point is this:  Americans are being strangled by regulations.

This is what the Regulatory Wall looked like in 2013, before Obama "hit his stride."

County and State Party Candidates Should Not Seek Endorsements from Politicians

by Maricopa County Republican Committee Chairman Tyler Bowyer

Many have seen in recent weeks a few endorsements from Public Office Holders of Candidates for those who wish to serve in County and State Party positions. I want to make a statement and say this is absolutely wrong. One of the primary reasons that the Republican Party exists is to hold Elected Officials accountable. Having our Party Officeholders beholden to Elected Officials through endorsements and donations is precisely what's wrong with the GOP today. It should raise many red flags of Party Candidates who seek these endorsements as it is akin to the adage of the "Fox in the Henhouse." This is terrible judgment both on the part of the candidate and the elected official.

Defending Old Glory - AZ Sen. John Kavanagh Wants Stealing Flag To Be a Felony

Arizona Republican Senator John Kavanagh (LD23) will be introducing a bill during the upcoming Legislative Session that will make stealing the American flag a Class 6 felony.  In the following Fox News interview, Sen. Kavanagh explains that currently, stealing the flag is only a misdemeanor theft, akin to stealing a pack of gum from a convenience store.  When someone steals a flag from someone's yard, they aren't just stealing something that doesn't belong to them.  Not only is the flag a venerated object, but also, when someone displays the American flag, they are exercising their Constitutionally-guaranteed First Amendment freedom of expression. They might be displaying the flag to express patriotism, mourning someone's death, or as a protest.  This is an important right.
