- Lindblom and Lewis and their Questionable Endorsements
Jimmy Lindblom is running as a conservative against proven conservative, Warren Petersen, for the open Senate seat in LD12. LaCinda Lewis is running as a conservative against proven conservative Eddie Farnsworth and Travis Grantham for one of the House seats in LD12.
Lindblom's website cites Protecting Individual Freedoms • Limited Government • Local Control • Education Advocate • Business Friendly. Under the heading "Media", you will see several flyers, including one titled "Our Conservative Team for the State Legislature," which includes LaCinda Lewis as his team mate. (See below.)
Lewis touts Family - Education - Economy from a a "unique conservative perspective."
It’s hard to fathom why voters would believe that Lindblom and Lewis are conservatives. Conservatives abide by the Republican platform. They work very hard to stand up for and defend those principles. RINO’s and Democrats don’t. Why work hard when it's easier to vote for something that sounds good.
Lindblom and Lewis have listed many endorsements they have received from local leaders. Gilbert Watch took a look at some of those endorsements.Click here to read more

- Jenn Daniels Raises Gilbert Taxes in Second Meeting as Mayor
On August 9, 2016, the Gilbert Town Council voted to increase taxes this year by $1.5 million dollars. It seems that, since former Mayor John Lewis and Council Members Eddie Cook, Jenn Daniels, and Jordan Ray earned a "Hero of Big Government" ranking from Americans for Prosperity in 2015, the trend continues. Council members are spinning and denying it's a tax increase!
According to Mayor Jenn Daniels: "In light of the incredible misinformation that is being disseminated on Facebook and other forums, I would like to set the record straight: YOUR TAXES DID NOT GO UP by our vote last night or any other vote by our current Town Council."
The Arizona Tax Research Association (ATRA) called it a tax increase, as did the Town of Gilbert website!
"In a split vote, the Town of Gilbert elected to raise its secondary property tax for FY17 from a rate of $1.0567 to $1.0609. This results in a tax levy increase of approximately $1.5 million. Surprisingly, some council members attempted to argue the tax rate and levy increase wasn't a tax increase at all. For town leaders to suggest this is not a tax increase is simple obfuscation.
"In actuality, the rate should have decreased substantially this year if they accounted for what property taxpayers have already paid. For cities and towns, the secondary property tax is used exclusively for the repayment of voter-approved bonds. The estimated debt service schedule in this year is $22.7 million. The town has previously over-collected nearly $15 million for this purpose. This money is not a rainy day fund and cannot be used for any other purpose. The town voted to use just 12% of this overpayment account ($1.7 million) to pay for debt service in FY17. It is regrettable the town elected to increase taxes while it earns interest on past over-collections which sit in the bank. Taxpayers must pay the debt-service on bonds, but they first ought to be credited for what they have already paid. At a minimum, Gilbert owes a specific plan to its taxpayers to credit them back for what they have previously overpaid. There is no financial justification to stockpile a massive sum as taxpayers are constitutionally obliged to repay the debt service on voter-approved debt each year via the property tax, making it an incredibly reliable and secure debt-instrument."

The tax hike passed 4-2. Here is the vote:

- Andy Biggs: True Constitutional Conservative for Congress
Senator Andy Biggs is a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Congressional District 5. As demonstrated during his tenure in the Arizona Senate, Andy Biggs knows more about the U.S. Constitution, the Founders’ lives, Founding documents and letters, and historical books than 98% of the entire House and Senate in Washington, DC. Certainly more than the current President. Certainly more than anyone running against him.
More importantly, Senator Biggs respects the Constitution and his Oath to uphold it. One group of supporters that appreciates Senator Biggs' knowledge of the U.S. Constitution and his ability to educate other legislators and his own constituents about its enumerated powers are the leaders of Arizona's Anti-Common Core battle.Click here to read more

- Outing Ray Strauss, the Phony Conservative Running Against Rep. Paul Gosar in AZ-4
Did you receive the FALSE flyer paid for by Right Way Super-PAC stating that Paul Gosar (CD4) voted against funding for our military and their families? I suggest you read this article titled Outing Ray Strauss, the Phony Conservative Running Against Rep. Paul Gosar in AZ-4. In my own experience, Rep. Gosar is one of the most Conservative, Constitutional, pro-military representatives in Congress. Ray Strauss is the opposite. "Rep. Gosar’s reputation as a fighter for the conservative agenda has left him as one of the few reliable full spectrum conservatives in the House."
The article begins:
It requires a breathtaking level of deceit to attempt to run to the right of limited government constitutional conservative Congressman Paul Gosar and attack him as an “insider.”
But with the help of a shadowy lobbyist-funded PAC – Right Way PAC – which was founded by K Street insider Daniel Flynn, that is exactly what Gosar’s challenger Ray Strauss is trying to do.

- Voting - Heads or Tails?
If you haven't been introduced to GilbertPolitics.com, I urge you to get acquainted. This blog is published and thoughtfully written by concerned citizen and constitutional conservative Travis Dutson. He unapologetically states, "Yes, I'm opinionated." Please take advantage of his carefully studied, respectful opinions. In his most recent post titled Voting - Heads or Tails, Mr. Dutson provides insight into why he has chosen to support certain candidates, including those running for U.S. Senate, Congressional CD5, LD12 Arizona Senate and House, and Gilbert Town Council.
We enjoy our liberties because of people like Travis Dutson who fights to protect them! As you read his article, be sure to click on the link and read the Comments, which are equally enlightening. Enjoy!Click here to read more

- The National Common Core Standards System
This heavily referenced, 48-page document is the result of three months of research effort on the part of members of Arizona's Mommy Lobby, with the help of Emmett McGroarty of the American Principles Project. It has been distributed to Arizona's House and Senate Education Committees, Governor Ducey's office, most of Arizona's leadership, as well as the Arizona State Board of Education. If you have questions about Common Core in Arizona (aka Arizona's College and Career Ready Standards) most of the answers are contained in this document titled the National Common Core Standards System
Chapter headings include: 1) History of Common Core: America and Arizona; 2) The Common Core are Inferior, Defective, and do Not Lead to Readiness for Authentic College Work; 3) High Stakes Testing; 4) Data Collection and Personally Identifiable Information; and 5) Teacher Accountability.Click here to read more

- Itasca Small for Arizona Senate (LD25): DEFEAT Bob Worsley!
Itasca Small is an official write-in candidate running against Bob Worsley in LD25. Ms. Small is a long-time supporter and activist for Arizona's sovereign rights, local control over education, and stopping the Common Core machine. She is pro-Bill of Rights, Parental Rights, and Individual Liberty. She is against the misuse of tax dollars, including subsidizing corporate welfare and taxpayer-paid entitlement programs, such as ObamaCare (Medicaid Expansion). Her campaign slogan is "Liberty Begins in our Own Backyard! SMALL for small government!"
Itasca is not a passive observer of the Arizona Legislature; rather, she has spent hundreds of hours at our State Capitol as a citizen lobbyist, defending both our U.S. Constitution and Arizona Constitution, and.educating legislators on the proper role of government.
I have known and worked with Ms. Small on many occasions. She is unapologetically passionate about her convictions. Yet, she is always open, respectful, and gracious when responding to differing views. Her humility is refreshing. See her article titled Arizona Standards Committee Working on a Faulty Premise.
States Ms. Small, "I am not a natural speaker. But God gives me the words, and, in spite of my aversion to public speaking, live audiences are usually inspired by my message. I'm thankful that God helps me to do as well as I do."
If you want a candidate who will be faithful to her Oath of Office, please write in Itasca Small for Arizona Senate (LD25).
In this short video clip from a meeting in November, 2015, she spontaneously and passionately speaks to some issues relating to Common Core.Click here to read more

- Bob Worsley's Anti-Parent Votes
You will find this statement on Legislative District 25 incumbent Senator Bob Worsley’s website: “Family has defined my life..” How nice…..for him and his family. But he has no respect for your family, or your fundamental liberty as a parent to “direct the upbringing, education, health care, and mental health of your children.” This God-given right is honored and upheld in the Arizona Constitution. See Arizona Revised Statutes 1-601 and 1-602 explicitly protect parental rights.
Please consider Official Write-In Candidate Itasca Small, NOT Bob Worsley.
Nobody--and no entity--has the right to insert themselves between you as a responsible, caring, and protective parent and your own child. Nobody!
They have voted against every attempt by true conservative legislators to return our K-12 educational system to Arizona, local school districts, and parents.
Worsley and his RINO gang have repeatedly voted against parental opt-out rights. They have repeatedly voted to retain the nationalized Common Core system, including its aligned curriculum, and whatever assessments (PARCC, AZMERIT) are aligned with them. (If you haven't educated yourself about the unvalidated, federal/corporate take-over of our local K-12 schools, I suggest you begin by spending 40 minutes watching BUILDING THE MACHINE - The Common Core Documentary. You will know more about CC than 90% of elected officials at both the state and federal levels. Also read The National Common Core Standards System. Also see articles listed below.)
Bob Worsley's voting record proves beyond a shadow of doubt that he is very comfortable with Big Government, Big Corporate, and Special Interest control over the education that every Arizona child receives beginning in Kindergarten through Grade 12.
He has helped defeat excellent bills that would have allowed Arizona, local school boards, and parents determine what's best for Arizona's students. These bills include:Click here to read more
