11. Payson Tea Party Meeting: July 18, 6:00 pm

Gary Morris has studied the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and has prepared a great presentation about the percentage of subsidy the insured gets depending on income level, all the employee/employer rules, and more. Come hear him speak at the next Payson Tea Party meeting Thursday, July 18, from 6:00-7:30 pm.  The meeting will be held at Tiny's Family Restaurant, 600 E. State Highway 260, Payson.

13. 4th of July Payson, Arizona

For those heading north to Payson for the celebration of Independence Day, here is the schedule for July 4:

Green Valley Park: Payson Paints the Town Red, White, and Blue

8:00 am                    Patriotic ceremony to salute all military personnel.

1:00 - 4:00 pm         Kid games--sack races, egg tosses, tug of wars, and the annual Payson Arizona Foot Race.

6:00 - 9:00 pm         Live music from Nashville recording artist Candyce and the Raizen Kain Band.

9:00 pm                    Best Rim Country fireworks display begins.

NOTE:  There will be limited parking at Green Valley Park.  Evening shuttle buses will run from the Payson High School to the park beginning at 5:30 pm.  To board the buses, turn left onto West Longhorn Drive from Highway 260 and the Beeline Highway (aka 87).  Make another left onto McLane Rd, then follow the signs to the Payson High School Administration parking lot.  This will serve as the main pick up and drop off point.

14. Randy Hatch to Speak at the 4/18 Payson TEA Party!

Randy Hatch, president and founder of the Arizona Red Mountain Patriots, will be speaking at 6 pm to members of the Payson TEA Party.  The group meets at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. State Highway 260, Payson.   An interesting an engaging speaker, Randy is an expert on American History, the founding of America, and the Founders themselves.  The Arizona Red Mountain Patriots is well known throughout Arizona as the best attended weekly meeting of TEA Patriots.

15. Anti-Common Core Presentation: Jennifer Reynolds

Jennifer Reynolds, creator of Arizonans Against Common Core, has been doing presentations all over Arizona.  On April 4, 2013, she gave a presentation to the Payson TEA Party.  Her presentation included several Power Point slides.  Here is the link:  AZ Common Core News.  It is filled with critical, well documented information.   I would like to draw your attention to two interesting slides.

16. Jennifer Reynolds, Expert on Common Core, Speaks at Payson TEA Party Tonight!

Jennifer Reynolds, creator of Arizonans Against Common Core, speaks all across Arizona, educating communities and parents about the serious problems with Common Core.   Ms. Reynolds also leads the Alliance for Sustainable Freedom.  Tonight, April 4, 6:00-8:00 pm, she is the guest speaker at the Payson TEA Party, held at Tiny's Restaurant (600 E. State Highway 260, Payson).  Her presentation is titled “Common Core Standards- Rotten to the Core!”

Here is a statement from former Arizona Senator Sylia Allen about Common Core:

"It is important to be informed about this issue. The American educational system is being federalized through implementation of Race to the Top and Common Core Standards. Once Common Core Standards are completely implemented, the federal government will have total control of assessment tools and textbooks used in core subjects. Also a national data collection system called State Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) will be used to determine a child's educational opportunities.

17. Doug Little's Presentation on Gun Rights and the Second Amendment

On the evening of Thursday, January 23, I attended a Payson TEA Party meeting featuring Doug Little. This meeting was not about his campaign for Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. He did not bring up his campaign at all. The topic at this meeting was Gun Rights and the Second Amendment.

The overriding message from Mr. Little was: Remain vigilant and do not allow Congress or the Arizona Legislature to pass anything at all that infringes on the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.
