Operation Welcome Home – Army Sergeant First Class Steven Milton – Update

I know I reported on this a few days ago, but wanted to provide a little more incentive for you to attend this ceremony.

Every one of these Welcome Home ceremonies is special in some unique way. Last night in the Town Council’s Study Session, Vice Mayor Jenn Daniels provided a unique insight into Gilbert Army Sergeant First Class Steven Milton. She learned that six members of Sgt. Milton’s family served in Viet Nam. None of them received a welcome home from their community.

Many of you might recall the “welcome” that returning veterans received during the Viet Nam era. Do I need to say more?

Please join your fellow citizens to honor and thank not only Sgt. Milton, but all those family members, too. These are the people who protect our Freedoms and our Liberties by putting themselves in harm’s way in service to our beloved country.

Operation Welcome Home is a great place to bring children. There is excitement, anticipation, a true sense of pride in our country and in our community, and deep reverence for God’s blessings.

6 PM. THURSDAY, JULY 28. 50 E CIVIC CENTER DR. – TOWN HALL. THE CEREMONY LASTS 45 MINUTES.
