2nd Amendment Preservation! Call Your Arizona Legislators NOW

SB1294 is up for a committee hearing and vote on MONDAY, 02-10.  Calls in support are needed all weekend long. Make sure the committee members know to vote YES on SB1294 on Monday!

On Jan. 30, Senator Kelli Ward of Arizona introduced the Second Amendment Preservation Act SB1294.    The legislation would prohibit the state from enforcing “any federal act, law, order, rule or regulation that relates to a personal firearm, firearm accessory or ammunition within the limits of this state.” Judge Andrew Napolitano has said that such legislation would make federal gun laws “nearly impossible to enforce.”  Read more about it here.

STATUS – 02-10-14, Judiciary committee hearing and vote. It will need to pass by majority vote to move on to the next stage.  The meeting begins at 2 pm.  Read the Agenda here.

YOUR ACTION IS NEEDED NOW.  It doesn’t matter where in Arizona you live, take these actions today.

1. Call the committee chair and vice-chair.  Be strong, but respectful. Urge them to support SB1294 and move the bill forward in their committee. If they do not commit to a YES vote, ask them why.

A phone call has as much as 10x the impact of an email.
