Medicaid Expansion Ballot Referendum Status

Please continue gathering as many signatures as possible!  See URAPC Sites for the Final Weekend.

Regarding the Gun Show, reports are coming in that the Governor’s office ordered the Coliseum staff to place the URAPC (anti-Medicaid Expansion aka Obamacare) petition gatherers to the north side of the Coliseum parking lot–instead of near the south side entrance where the attendees enter the gun show.  If you want to sign the URAPC petitions on Sept. 8, you’ll probably find the petition table set up on the north side of the Coliseum.

Last Minute URAPC Petitions can be Hand Delivered to:

Rep. Carl Seel:  3-6 pm, Sunday, Sept 8; and 9am – Noon, Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the AZGOP Office, 3501 N. 24th St., Phoenix.
Mike Richards:  6-9 pm, Monday, Sept. 9 at the Arizona Red Mountain Patriots meeting, East Valley High School, 7420 E Main Street, Mesa.  A notary will be available.

URAPC Chairman Christine Bauserman is asking that petitions gatherers can help the counting effort by doing the following:
Please take a pen and ‘x’ through any empty spots on the petitions.
Verify you put the county on the top of the petition.  This is the very last item in the wording before the wording.
Check "volunteer."
Put counties together and then group "10’s", "9’s", etc.

Please attend tonight’s Arizona Red Mountain Patriots Meeting!

Do you recall the Medicaid Expansion vote, and how so-called Arizona Republican senators and representatives joined Democrats to pass this law in the legislature?  Remember Bob Worsley LD25, who voted for the Medicaid expansion, and how he ran as a conservative, even Pro Life?  Voters in LD25 were outraged by Mr. Worsley’s  "Big Government" votes.  His Legislative District leadership even voted to censure him over his actions.

"In just ONE legislative session, Mr. Worsley, raised taxes, voted for Obama-care (the Medicaid expansion) violated Prop 108  (the Taxpayer Protection act), voted against Pro-Life Amendments, voted for taxpayer funded scholarships for illegals (which is also a violation of the law), and he scored the worst of any Republican Senator from Americans for Prosperity–earning the Hero of Big Government award."

Go to www.GilbertWatch.com, enter Worsley in the Search box, and you will see why it’s no surprise that Bob Worsley behaved exactly the way we predicted he would.

Dr. Ralph Heap to run against Bob Worsley in LD25.

An excellent conservative candidate has emerged to run against Bob Worsley in 2014:  Dr. Ralph Heap.

“I think Mr. Worsley campaigned as a conservative, and I just don’t feel like he’s responded that way in his time in the Senate,” stated Dr. Heap. “I’m an orthopedic surgeon. I’m particularly disturbed by the Medicaid expansion and the facilitating of Obamacare in Arizona.”

Dr. Heap received his M.D. from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 1978, and has been practicing for 30 years.

Please come to tonight’s meeting of the Arizona Red Mountain Patriots and meet Dr. Ralph Heap!   Tonight’s event is essentially his campaign kickoff, so he’ll have petitions there, campaign literature, etc.  Also, the Heap Family Blue Grass Band will be entertaining the audience as well.

Arizona Red Mountain Tea Party Patriots: Monday, November 4th at 7:00pm (meeting start), doors open at 6:00pm East Valley School, 7420 E. Main St., Mesa 85207.

Who is the Leftist? Who is the Liberal?

Please stop referring to Leftist Democrats as Liberals.  They are not Liberals.  Leftist Democrats have so perverted the language that it is too late for Conservatives to be identified as who we truly are—Classic Liberals.  However, it is not too late to call the Democrats what they are:  Leftists.  If Democrats don’t like that label, they need to look at their elected representatives’ voting records.  Start with Barack Obama and move down the food chain.   Don’t like it?  Then change your party affiliation.

Leftists fraudulently call themselves Liberals, because they like to think of themselves as noble, broad-minded, unprejudiced, and kind.  They think they defend the weak against the powerful.  They “care.”  The Truth is their policies are exactly the opposite.

But let’s look at two definitions.  Then, YOU decide who is the Leftist and who is the Liberal.

Who Funds Restoring Arizona? Who’s Getting Paid to Stop the Voters?

Who are these heavy hitters that can drop hundreds of thousands of dollars like it’s nothing but loose change falling out of their pockets?   Governor Brewer seems to have a bottomless pit of money she’s using to keep the Medicaid expansion decision away from the ballot box.  So far, the Restoring Arizona PAC has raised $364,000.  The Arizona Business Coalition contributed $234,000.  Arizona for Sensible Health Care Policy, $100,000.  Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association, $50,000.  Even AARP has gotten into the act with a contribution of $15,000.

A quick look at the Arizona Business Coalition reveals that the contact is Glenn Hamer, who also happens to be the president and CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce.  Both organizations share the same address.

The Arizona Chamber is a proud supporter of the Common Core standards.

Chamber members include corporate heavyweights like APS, SouthWest Gas, SRP, and Banner Health, Wells Fargo Bank, American Express, and Hensley Beverage Company.   Let’s see.  Hensley…. Now here’s a familiar face!

And who is The Summit?  Well, that’s Chad Willems’ company, a paid political consultant.  He has been paid $158,000 to stop the voters from having a say in whether or not they want to expand Medicaid in Arizona.

Against this Goliath of big money stands a small army of "We the People" conservatives who refuse to roll out the welcome mat to Obama’s HealthCare in Arizona.

Petition Drive Short by 5,056 Signers

All of us who worked long hours all day yesterday, all the way to 1700 W. Washington, and over the last several weeks, at event after event, in our neighborhoods, on street corners, in front of libraries, in every public place possible, in the parking lots of small businesses, etc, etc, etc. were more than disappointed that Power and Money trumped individual liberties……this time.   Even though we failed to obtain the needed signatures, we have gained more in experience, new friendships, and camaraderie than we could have imagined when we started.  We met thousands of extremely concerned Conservative Republicans throughout Arizona.  URAPC and the volunteers never quit and never will.   More on that later.

This was an historic, incredible petition drive launched by URAPC.ORG, and no doubt mistakes were made.  Quitting was never an option.

I lay the blame for this shortfall at the feet of the Arizona Republican Party.   This is a Party that refused to help us and refused to stand up for its own Principles and Platform.  Rather, it stands for "R’s," no matter how much those "R’s" violate our Party’s principles.  It stands with the "McCain/Brewer/Flake Power and Money Grubbers."   How do you sell that "platform" to new voters?

The top 2 angry, disgusted comments cited by those who signed the petition?  1) Can we impeach Obama?  2) Can we repeal John McCain?

Here is the statement issued by URAPC.

The URAPC Petition Effort Fail By 5,056 Signers: The United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives (URAPC) collected 81,349 signatures to put the Referendum on the Obamacare Medicaid Expansion on the ballot falling thousands short of the 86,405 necessary to make it on the ballot, according to Chairman Christine Bauserman

“Governor Brewer’s Team can declare a victory against the Republican Precinct Committeemen and the Principled Conservatives across the entire state of Arizona that stand on the Republican Party Plank: Repeal Obamacare. An unprecedented $364,000 was spent to cause confusion amongst voters and to hire professional blockers to intimidate petition signers and ensure a victory for big government.

“URAPC lost this battle but will regroup and continue to fight against the surrender of Arizona to Obamacare. The grassroots army has fought fiercely and relentlessly across the entire state. They said we would not last three weeks yet we have grown stronger. We worked through record breaking 115 degree desert heat. They predicted a total of 20,000 signatures that number was more than quadrupled. We will now stand-up brush off and continue to hold the executive and legislative branches accountable to their powers as defined by our state constitution.

“URAPC lost this battle but we will regroup and we will continue to fight against the surrender of Arizona to Obamacare. The final breakdown by county will be available on the website,” Bauserman said.

Dr. Ralph Heap Urgently Needs your Help!

Money should not buy an election, but if the grassroots doesn’t step up to help Dr. Ralph Heap right now, Bob Worsley will buy his way to victory in LD25!   Worsley, the incumbent whose voting record in the Arizona Senate earned him the rating of "Hero of Big Government" by Americans for Prosperity, is paying young people to go door to door signing up early ballots and targeting Independents.  Worsley is also advertising on prime time FOX with Jeff Flake advertising for him.

Early ballots are only a little more than 30 days away!  The Primary is Critical.  If you thought about helping Dr. Heap, NOW is the time to do it.  After the primary, the election is over.  So we have just 30 days or we have missed the chance to make a difference, and this is one of the most important races in the state.  Bob Worsley voted for Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion, Common Core, Funding Abortion Providers, and he defeated a bill (HB2700) that would have helped us recover state lands acquired by the federal government.  He has repeatedly voted with the Democrats.

Your help is urgently needed now!  Please contact Dr. Heap’s campaign and help with phone banking!

Let’s Put a Real Schmuck in Office!

Here’s a great way to help Frank Schmuck beat RINO Jeff Dial in the Aug. 30 Primary.  Please join your neighbors in LD18 (includes Ahwatukee, and parts of Chandler, Mesa, and Tempe) in a Volunteer Support event this Saturday, June 25, from 7:00 am – 10:00 am.  See details following this note from Jim O’Connor.

For those of you who remember the Republican House & Senate sell outs who voted with the dems in support of Governor Brewer’s Medicaid Expansion (AKA Obamacate in AZ) in the summer of 2013, the name Jeff Dial may ring a bell. He was then serving in the House and the following year got elected to our State Senate. He continues to be a rogue republican, and not a good one.

This August we have the best opportunity ever to rid our state senate of this faker. Please join me this Saturday morning and meet and hear from Frank Schmuck who is challenging Dial for that Senate seat.  Frank enjoys the endorsement of the Arizona Republican Assembly (AZRA) as well as my own personal endorsement. Even though you may live in a different district than Dial’s LD 18, his votes affect all of us statewide.

So if you are only up for making calls on Frank’s behalf, mailing out literature, or helping with a small donation, do come join me this Saturday.

(GW NOTE:  Jeff Dial was also one of the "Republicans" who refused to acknowledge parental authority, when he voted NO to the Parental Opt Out Bill (SB1455).  He also voted to keep Common Core (HB2190).

Alert! Please Help Itasca Small Defeat Bob Worsley for Senate in LD25!

Itasca Small, a long-time supporter and activist for states rights; local control over education and stopping Common Core; and defending our State Superintendent’s constitutional powers over education in our state; is running for State Senator against Bob Worsley (R-LD25 Mesa).  Ms. Small has spent countless hours at our State Capitol educating our legislators on the proper role of government and on restoring local control over education in our public schools. Please click HERE to see her pledge and HERE to read her background on why she would like to serve her constituents in LD25.

This is our opportunity to rid LD25 of Bob Worsley who has long been a supporter of more federal involvement in our schools and Obamacare, and who continues to fight against all of our efforts to rid our state of Common Core!   He does not understand states rights and the importance of pushing back against the continual overreach from the federal government.  (See below.)
