Who is the Leftist? Who is the Liberal?

Please stop referring to Leftist Democrats as Liberals.  They are not Liberals.  Leftist Democrats have so perverted the language that it is too late for Conservatives to be identified as who we truly are—Classic Liberals.  However, it is not too late to call the Democrats what they are:  Leftists.  If Democrats don’t like that label, they need to look at their elected representatives’ voting records.  Start with Barack Obama and move down the food chain.   Don’t like it?  Then change your party affiliation.

Leftists fraudulently call themselves Liberals, because they like to think of themselves as noble, broad-minded, unprejudiced, and kind.  They think they defend the weak against the powerful.  They “care.”  The Truth is their policies are exactly the opposite.

But let’s look at two definitions.  Then, YOU decide who is the Leftist and who is the Liberal.

Classic Liberals

“The term liberal, in its Greek meaning, refers to the free man, as opposed to the slave. Liberals were originally the partisans of liberty. The American Founders, for example, were committed to three types of freedom: economic freedom, political freedom, and freedom of speech and religion. In their classical liberal view, freedom meant limiting the power of government, thus increasing the scope for individual and private action. The spirit of this philosophy is clearly conveyed in the formulations of the Bill of Rights: ‘Congress shall make no law…’"  Liberalism and Conservatism

When the term “liberalism” (from the Latin word liberalis, meaning “pertaining to a free man”) first emerged in the early 1800s, it was founded on an unwavering belief in individual rights, the rule of law, limited government, private property, and laissez faire economics. (These would remain the defining characteristics of liberalism throughout the liberal epoch, generally identified as the period from 1815-1914.)  What Exactly is a "Leftist"?  and What is a Liberal"

American Conservatives

"American conservatives are different (from “throne and altar” conservatism that once defined European conservatism, and is still characteristic of some Europeans on the right) because America is a revolutionary nation. For the Founders, the ancient regime was the world they had left behind in Europe. Ours is a country founded by a bunch of guys sitting around a table in Philadelphia and deciding to establish a "new order for the ages." Being a conservative in America means conserving the principles of the American Revolution. Paradoxically, American conservatism seeks to conserve a certain kind of liberalism. It means fighting to uphold the classical liberalism of the founding from assault by liberalism of a different sort.

"Classical liberalism, however, does not wholly define modern American conservatism. There is an added element: a concern with social and civic virtue. The term virtue has become a bad word in some quarters of American life. Young people, especially, tend to associate it with finger-wagging and with people who tell you how to live your life. This is a very narrow view of virtue: It applies to only what it is good to do, rather than what it is good to be and what it is good to love.

"The conservative virtues are many: civility, patriotism, national unity, a sense of local community, an attachment to family, and a belief in merit, in just desserts and in personal responsibility in one’s actions. For many conservatives, the idea of virtue cannot be separated from the idea of God. But it is not necessary to believe in God to be a conservative. What unifies the vast majority of conservatives is the belief that there are moral standards in the universe and that living up to them is the best way to have a full and happy life."  Liberalism and Conservatism

Republicans, and especially conservatives and Tea Partiers, are Liberals in every sense of the word.  See We Are Republicans

Democrat Leftists

In contrast, look at what the Democrat Leftists espouse.  We can readily observe that the modern Left is the stalwart champion of:

"group rights and collective identity, rather than of individual rights and responsibilities (e.g., racial preferences, notions of collective guilt and innocence, and a devotion to identity politics generally);

"the circumvention of law rather than the rule of law (as exemplified by the flouting of immigration laws and nondiscrimination laws, and by a preference for judicial activism whereby judges co-opt the powers that rightfully belong to legislators);

"the expansion of government rather than its diminution (favoring ever-escalating taxes to fund a bloated welfare state and a government that oversees — and intervenes in — virtually every aspect of human life); and

"the redistribution of wealth (through punitive taxes and, again, a mushrooming welfare state), rather than its creation through free markets based on private property."  What Exactly is a "Leftist"?  and What is a Liberal"?

I will add more recent traits that characterize the Left.

Leftists belong to the cult of human and animal sacrifice.   They have literally no reverence for innocent life.  They are far more willing to murder preborn children than to encourage men and women to prevent pregnancies.    They are far more willing to destroy birds and raptors of every species, including those that are endangered, in the name of the religion of Environmentalism.   ·

Leftists have a preference for Lies over the Truth.   Whether it’s Benghazi, the IRS scandal, the destruction of our Bill of Rightsthe nationalization of our health care systemthe federalization of our educational system, or the George Zimmerman Trial, they ignore and pervert the Truth and promote lies.

The Democrat Party, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, Al Sharpton, Michael Moore, and everyone under the leadership of the Obama Administration are Leftists in every sense of the word.  They are socialist revolutionaries with an anti-American agenda.
