Recently, I published two posts relating to the Gilbert School Board’s 9/4/2012 refusal to reinstate a non-denominational Invocation to open its governing board meetings. These included Daryl Colvin Asks Gilbert School Board to Bring Back the Invocation and Some Stand Firm; Some Crumble. Since that time, Hayley Ringle of the Arizona Republic published an article titled Gilbert School Board Stance on Prayer Upsetting Some.

Board member Staci Burk had proposed that the Board merely "discuss" the issue of reinstating the Invocation, but 4 board members–EJ Anderson, Helen Hollands, Blake Sacha, and Lily Tram–refused. As you will note in Hayley’s article, the basis of that refusal was "fear of a lawsuit."

This man stands up for Republican Principles and the Republican Party platform!  Isn’t that what all duly elected Republican officials should do?  Which will it be?  Republican "unity" or Republican Principles?  If "unity," please explain what that means.  Unify around ….  what?  

 

If Republicans cannot unify around Republican Party Principles, there’s another party that has no principles.  Join that party.

Gilbert, AZ among “Most Saintly” in America

A. J. LaFaro was right, when he said, ""When I die and go to heaven I want to go to Gilbert … because Gilbert reflects the values that I believe in… and is home to lawmakers who oppose Medicaid expansion.”  See Maricopa County GOP Head A. J. LaFaro in battle for Party’s Future. 

It looks like Gilbert is indeed a slice of Heaven.  Gilbert was recently ranked the 2nd Most Saintly City in America.  We can thank the good citizens of Gilbert for this honor.

Who is the Leftist? Who is the Liberal?

Please stop referring to Leftist Democrats as Liberals.  They are not Liberals.  Leftist Democrats have so perverted the language that it is too late for Conservatives to be identified as who we truly are—Classic Liberals.  However, it is not too late to call the Democrats what they are:  Leftists.  If Democrats don’t like that label, they need to look at their elected representatives’ voting records.  Start with Barack Obama and move down the food chain.   Don’t like it?  Then change your party affiliation.

Leftists fraudulently call themselves Liberals, because they like to think of themselves as noble, broad-minded, unprejudiced, and kind.  They think they defend the weak against the powerful.  They “care.”  The Truth is their policies are exactly the opposite.

But let’s look at two definitions.  Then, YOU decide who is the Leftist and who is the Liberal.
