Medicaid Expansion Ballot Referendum Status

Please continue gathering as many signatures as possible!  See URAPC Sites for the Final Weekend.

Regarding the Gun Show, reports are coming in that the Governor’s office ordered the Coliseum staff to place the URAPC (anti-Medicaid Expansion aka Obamacare) petition gatherers to the north side of the Coliseum parking lot–instead of near the south side entrance where the attendees enter the gun show.  If you want to sign the URAPC petitions on Sept. 8, you’ll probably find the petition table set up on the north side of the Coliseum.

Last Minute URAPC Petitions can be Hand Delivered to:

Rep. Carl Seel:  3-6 pm, Sunday, Sept 8; and 9am – Noon, Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the AZGOP Office, 3501 N. 24th St., Phoenix.
Mike Richards:  6-9 pm, Monday, Sept. 9 at the Arizona Red Mountain Patriots meeting, East Valley High School, 7420 E Main Street, Mesa.  A notary will be available.

URAPC Chairman Christine Bauserman is asking that petitions gatherers can help the counting effort by doing the following:
Please take a pen and ‘x’ through any empty spots on the petitions.
Verify you put the county on the top of the petition.  This is the very last item in the wording before the wording.
Check "volunteer."
Put counties together and then group "10’s", "9’s", etc.

Mr. Trump: Tear Down This Wall!

Which wall?

The laws, rules, regulations, executive branch and federal agency proclamations and issuances, memos, guidance documents, bulletins, circulars, announcements with practical regulatory effect, “significant” agency guidance documents, and thousands of other such documents that are subject to little scrutiny or democratic accountability, and that have stifled entrepreneurship, jobs, the economy, and innovation.

That Wall.  Tear it down, Mr. Trump.

Of the 10 highest-ever Federal Register regulation page counts, Obama is responsible for seven. Obama keeps breaking his own record! 77,687 (2014); 78,961 (2012); 79,311 (2013); 80,260 (2015); 81,247 (2011); 81,405 (2010).; and 91,642 (2016).  That’s an Atlas-back-breaking total of over 570,000 pages.  There are some "fact checkers" who quibble about number of pages versus number of regulations, blah, blah.  However, the point is this:  Americans are being strangled by regulations.

This is what the Regulatory Wall looked like in 2013, before Obama "hit his stride."

Who Funds Restoring Arizona? Who’s Getting Paid to Stop the Voters?

Who are these heavy hitters that can drop hundreds of thousands of dollars like it’s nothing but loose change falling out of their pockets?   Governor Brewer seems to have a bottomless pit of money she’s using to keep the Medicaid expansion decision away from the ballot box.  So far, the Restoring Arizona PAC has raised $364,000.  The Arizona Business Coalition contributed $234,000.  Arizona for Sensible Health Care Policy, $100,000.  Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association, $50,000.  Even AARP has gotten into the act with a contribution of $15,000.

A quick look at the Arizona Business Coalition reveals that the contact is Glenn Hamer, who also happens to be the president and CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce.  Both organizations share the same address.

The Arizona Chamber is a proud supporter of the Common Core standards.

Chamber members include corporate heavyweights like APS, SouthWest Gas, SRP, and Banner Health, Wells Fargo Bank, American Express, and Hensley Beverage Company.   Let’s see.  Hensley…. Now here’s a familiar face!

And who is The Summit?  Well, that’s Chad Willems’ company, a paid political consultant.  He has been paid $158,000 to stop the voters from having a say in whether or not they want to expand Medicaid in Arizona.

Against this Goliath of big money stands a small army of "We the People" conservatives who refuse to roll out the welcome mat to Obama’s HealthCare in Arizona.

John McCain: The Collaborator

Seeing Red Arizona recently posted Unprincipled McCain Admits Deception to Unionists, proving once again what we all know.  John McCain is an unprincipled deceiver, who collaborates with the enemy on a regular basis.  Remember when he told Americans during his campaign that we have "nothing to fear from an Obama Presidency"?

Here are a few snippets from the Seeing Red AZ post:

"John McMaverick, the driving force behind the Gang of 8, partnered with Democrats and squish Republicans to push an amnesty bill through the Senate. In his zeal to advance it, he even voted for an amendment that would spend $46 billion on new border security measures, while doubling the size of the Border Patrol. Now he says that ‘could be adjusted.’"

“I’ll give you a little straight talk,” the forked-tongued one told attendees at an AFL-CIO immigration forum on Tuesday. “We don’t need 20,000 additional border patrol agents,” calling a path to citizenship “a fundamental element.” Singling out border security parts as an example, he said, “The rest of it could be adjusted.”

“I voted for it so friends of mine would have comfort that we are securing the border,” McCain cunningly admitted. “But the real securing of the border is with technology as opposed to individuals.”

Here is a related article published by the AFL/CIO:  McCain:  Path to Citizenship Must be Fundamental Element of Immigration Reform.

McCain’s Rebels Create Humanitarian Disaster in Syria

While Senator John McCain sports around with his Syrian Rebel "freedom fighter" friends, here is what is really happening in Syria.  See A Letter from Aleppo: A Firsthand account from inside Syria’s Humanitarian Disaster.  Do you want to truly make a difference and help these people?  Don’t send bombs!  Don’t help the rebels!  Send money to Barnabas Aid.

Here’s a portion of the article:

Below is a letter out of Aleppo, Syria, that was written in late July by a physician. A lifelong Aleppo resident of Armenian heritage, this man has remained in one of the ancient city’s Christian neighborhoods throughout a 14-month siege by rebel forces. He is a trusted source to WORLD, not named for security reasons, with a long history of medical aid work throughout the Middle East and Asia. This letter is reprinted with permission of Barnabas Aid, which first published it.

Since he wrote, the rebel blockade of Aleppo has now entered its third month. Water, electricity, and communication are cut off, infrastructure has collapsed, and residents cannot leave, nor can aid be brought in. For Aleppo residents, all necessities of life are in short supply and prices have soared. A bag of lentils that only a year ago cost 50 Syrian pounds, or about $1, now may cost anywhere from $5 to $10. Because of shortages and the exorbitant cost, churches—one in Aleppo was providing meals for 35,000 displaced Syrians only a few months ago—have been forced to halt help for the needy.

Aleppo—Syria’s largest city, with more than 2 million people in the country’s industrial and agricultural heartland—has a historically diverse religious and ethnic makeup. The rebels’ success at taking over much of the city suggests they stand a chance at toppling the government of Bashar al-Assad. But the humanitarian crisis they have created will make anyone wonder what kind of government the opposition forces might deliver were they to successfully replace Assad. The blockade, meanwhile, has gone uncontested by the United States and its allies, making many Syrians doubt the U.S. move toward military strikes is designed to relieve their humanitarian crisis, or address the many atrocities of this war. —Mindy Belz

Petition Drive Short by 5,056 Signers

All of us who worked long hours all day yesterday, all the way to 1700 W. Washington, and over the last several weeks, at event after event, in our neighborhoods, on street corners, in front of libraries, in every public place possible, in the parking lots of small businesses, etc, etc, etc. were more than disappointed that Power and Money trumped individual liberties……this time.   Even though we failed to obtain the needed signatures, we have gained more in experience, new friendships, and camaraderie than we could have imagined when we started.  We met thousands of extremely concerned Conservative Republicans throughout Arizona.  URAPC and the volunteers never quit and never will.   More on that later.

This was an historic, incredible petition drive launched by URAPC.ORG, and no doubt mistakes were made.  Quitting was never an option.

I lay the blame for this shortfall at the feet of the Arizona Republican Party.   This is a Party that refused to help us and refused to stand up for its own Principles and Platform.  Rather, it stands for "R’s," no matter how much those "R’s" violate our Party’s principles.  It stands with the "McCain/Brewer/Flake Power and Money Grubbers."   How do you sell that "platform" to new voters?

The top 2 angry, disgusted comments cited by those who signed the petition?  1) Can we impeach Obama?  2) Can we repeal John McCain?

Here is the statement issued by URAPC.

The URAPC Petition Effort Fail By 5,056 Signers: The United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives (URAPC) collected 81,349 signatures to put the Referendum on the Obamacare Medicaid Expansion on the ballot falling thousands short of the 86,405 necessary to make it on the ballot, according to Chairman Christine Bauserman

“Governor Brewer’s Team can declare a victory against the Republican Precinct Committeemen and the Principled Conservatives across the entire state of Arizona that stand on the Republican Party Plank: Repeal Obamacare. An unprecedented $364,000 was spent to cause confusion amongst voters and to hire professional blockers to intimidate petition signers and ensure a victory for big government.

“URAPC lost this battle but will regroup and continue to fight against the surrender of Arizona to Obamacare. The grassroots army has fought fiercely and relentlessly across the entire state. They said we would not last three weeks yet we have grown stronger. We worked through record breaking 115 degree desert heat. They predicted a total of 20,000 signatures that number was more than quadrupled. We will now stand-up brush off and continue to hold the executive and legislative branches accountable to their powers as defined by our state constitution.

“URAPC lost this battle but we will regroup and we will continue to fight against the surrender of Arizona to Obamacare. The final breakdown by county will be available on the website,” Bauserman said.

Syrian Christian Woman Attacks John McCain on Syria: 9/5/2013 Town Hall

John McCain’s response to this Syrian Christian woman, whose 18-year old cousin was killed 10 days before by the Syrian Free Army "Rebels," is callously arrogant.   He is condescending toward a woman whose family can be traced back to Biblical times and currently lives in Syria.  They are among the Christian minority who, if the Rebels defeat Assad, will most likely be brutalized and murdered at their hands.  But John McCain knows better.  "I, too, have been to Syria.  I know the people (rebels).  I’ve met with them.  I know who they are."

Do you remember the Potemkin Villages?  John McCain got the ‘Potemkin village" treatment.  He is willfully ignorant and drunk with power.

Reminder: How Mexico Treats Illegal Aliens

Not too long ago, Michelle Malkin wrote an article titled Reminder: How Mexico Treats Undesirable Foreigners.   It’s important to remember these facts as we are lectured by the Leftists on our "despicable" behavior toward 11 million people who are living in the United States of America illegally, obtaining many free taxpayer-paid services.

Here are few quotes from that article:

"Mexicans shall have priority over foreigners, under equal circumstances, for all kind of concessions, employments, positions or commissions of the government in which the status of citizenship is not indispensable.”

"While amnesty advocates and civil liberties zealots in the U.S. decry “police state” tactics against illegal aliens, Mexico fiercely maintains laws against illegal border crossings; “verification visits” to enforce visa conditions; requirements that foreigners produce proof of legal status on demand; and enforcement and cooperation between and among immigration officials and law enforcement authorities at all levels in Mexico. Native-born Mexicans are also empowered to make citizens arrests of illegal aliens and turn them in to authorities.

"Mexico’s National Catalog of Foreigners tracks all outside tourists and foreign nationals. A National Population Registry tracks and verifies the identity of every member of the population, who must carry a citizens identity card. Visitors who do not possess proper documents and identification are subject to arrest at any time. And for those seeking permanent residency or naturalization, Mexico requires that they must not be economic burdens on society and must have clean criminal histories. Those seeking to obtain Mexican citizenship must show a birth certificate, provide a bank statement proving economic independence, pass an exam and prove they can provide their own health care."

Obama Still Knows Nothing about Benghazi, but Everything about Syria?

Michael Yon is a former Green Beret who currently is a war correspondent in the Middle East.  He has been providing on-the-ground dispatches for several years.  Here is a quote from a recent post titled Syria: Outrage is not a Strategy.

"A year after the Benghazi attack that claimed our Ambassador and other Americans, we still have few answers.  Speculation and conspiracy theories run rampant, while our government dodges the matter.

"Yet mere days after the alleged chemical attacks in Syria, President Obama claimed that he had proof that Assad committed this crime against humanity, despite the fact that conditions for investigation in Syria are far more challenging than they are in Benghazi.

"In the Middle Eastern environment of perpetual exaggeration, the highest death estimate by the rebels was 1,300 men, women and children killed.  The US administration raised the rebel estimate to 1,429.  Can we get a blood sample?

"The bodies were buried within 24 hours in accordance with Islamic custom.  Hardly enough time get an exact count of 1,429.  From where did this number derive?  Every serious combat trooper, cop, correspondent, anyone who sees action first hand and then sees reports, knows that first reports are always wrong, and often very wrong.

"Nobody doubts that chemicals were used, but who did it?  A rogue general?  And where is the primary source for the count of 1,429?

"Are these body reports cobbled together from second or third hand sources that might include double and triple counts, rumors, or complete fabrications?  Syria is, after all, the navel of the Middle East, a wellspring for rumors, exaggerations, conspiracy theories, and the most obvious lies created by man.

"The casualty count of 1,429 is important.  If President Obama plays fast and furious with casualties, it is fair to wonder whether he is playing sloppy with alleged communications intercept."

I urge you to read the entire article, and then tell me if you think Obama, Kerry, McCain, and Flake know what they’re doing.
