Gilbert Watch Supports Jared Taylor for Gilbert Town Council!

An Open Letter from Jared Taylor:

Dear Gilbert Resident,

A few weeks ago, I made the important decision to run for Gilbert Town Council. I’m happy to publicly announce this today.

As a native of Arizona and the East Valley, I have deep roots in Gilbert. My mother went to the original Gilbert Elementary School and she attended church across the street. Hard work was instilled in me from an early age. I grew up in Mesa and helped my family in raising goats, chickens, a big garden, and lots of citrus trees.

My wife and I made our home in Gilbert after we were married in 1996. We have loved living in Gilbert ever since.

Serving in Gilbert has been a great blessing to my family and me. I have worked with the Boy Scouts of America and served on the board of Constitution Week USA for a number of years. With other members of the community, I have been fortunate to help thousands of Boy Scouts learn important lessons of citizenship each year during Constitution Week.

Professionally, I have worked in the human resources organizations of both Motorola and Honeywell. In these roles, I specialized in continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and LEAN manufacturing. I am currently the business manager of Heritage Academy, a public charter school in Mesa, AZ.

Why am I running?

A few reasons: First, many people have asked me to run. They have asked that I use the skills I have gained from my professional and academic life to benefit our community. Second, I believe in a citizen electorate and that everyone should take a turn serving their community. Third, my children and family deserve a great place to live, and I’d like to ensure that Gilbert provides that opportunity.

My purpose on the Council is to build on the great things that our community offers and to keep the Town government focused on its core mission of protecting individual rights.

I look forward to meeting you and discussing the important ways that we, together, can serve and strengthen our community.

I invite you to help and volunteer. Please visit my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/votejaredtaylor or contact me at taylor.jared@yahoo.com or (480) 734-7073.

Thank you,

Jared Taylor
