In their infinite wisdom, the Gilbert Small Business Alliance (GSBA) has endorsed Eddie Cook, Victor Petersen, and Jordan Ray for Gilbert Town Council! They also endorsed Ben Cooper. While Gilbert Watch understands there must be a fourth, because there are four available seats, Gilbert Watch will not endorse Mr. Cooper due to some of his positions that are not truly conservative. However, Mr. Cooper is very pro-business in many ways, which is probably the reason for their endorsement.
If you are a business owner, the GSBA is a great organization for you to join for only $45 per year. They have frequently gone to the mat to fight for businesses in Gilbert. They fought against the Use Tax and Prop 406 (sales tax increase), and they continually fight for better signage and for streamlining the time it takes businesses to get up and running. However, they need pro-business people on the Council who they know will help businesses most effectively. Business, not government, stimulates the economy and puts us on the road to prosperity.
