It looks like LD12 Chairman Mickie Niland and her Precinct Committeemen are pushing for Medicaid Expansion signatures! What are YOUR Legislative District Chairmen and Precinct Committeemen doing? Remember how you raised your hand and voted your Opposition to Governor Brewer’s Medicaid Expansion? So, what are you doing now? Do you want to just "be" a Precinct Committeeman? Or do you want to "do" something? This is the biggest and most important petition drive in the history of Arizona! The following email was sent by Mickie Niland to her Precinct Committeemen: Dear Precinct Committeeman, The end of the Petition drive is in sight! We still need a few additional signatures, please help us sprint to the finish line! Two ladies are looking for help at the following sites. Please give an hour and help us gain those last needed signatures. #1. Cindy Biggs continues to seek volunteers at Southeast Regional Library. Carol Clesceri is seeking volunteers at the Queen Creek Library, and the Mesquite Grove Aquatic Center. carol.crwomen@cox.net or 602-677-8147 Here are two venues that need volunteers to work 1 or 2 hour shifts over the next 2 weeks. If you prefer to work as a team, let me know. Queen Creek Library Address: 21802 S Ellsworth Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85242 (Ellsworth & Ocotillo Rd.) Hours: M- Thurs. 9am- 8pm You are suppose to stand 100 ft. back from the doors. They suggested standing in front of the water feature(with no water), facing the front doors, between the two sidewalks, but off the sidewalks. Do not obstruct citizens. Do not approach citizens in the parking lot (don’t chase them down). You may also stand beside the small tree next to the bike rack and side walk to the south parking lot. There is not much shade. (you may bring an umbrella.) Mesquite Grove Aquatic Center Address: 5901 S. Hillcrest Dr., Chandler, AZ 85249 (on Riggs, West of Val Vista. Enter via Hillcrest Dr.) Hours: Tues – Friday. 10am – 1pm & 4pm – 7pm From Carol: MUST have two separate petitions, at least one each for Pinal & Maricopa Counties. We can provide petition forms if you don’t have your own. Remember to ask the signer which county they live in before they begin to sign! I’ll have a table and chairs set up for at least one of the sites. Please contact me asap to help me fill in a schedule.
