Please join your Gilbert neighbors to Welcome Home one of our brave soldiers, Army Sgt. 1st Class Steven Milton. The ceremony begins at 6 pm on Thursday, July 28. It is held at the Municipal Center, 50 E Civic Center Drive. (The Council meeting begins one hour later, at 7 pm.)
Sgt. Milton has returned from a tour of duty in Iraq, where he served as a military police officer. He trained Iraqi police officers.
Sgt Milton and his family will be escorted to the Municipal Center by a motorcycle motorcade from American Legion Post 39.
If you haven’t attended one of the Welcome Home ceremonies, please do, and bring your children. It is a moving, patriotic event. Returning soldiers who have served their country with honor deserve our respect, and their families deserve our appreciation.
