Over the last 11 years, the professional Staff of the Town of Gilbert have consistently projected huge deficits, but, with few exceptions, the reality turned out to be a surplus. Victor Petersen, a local concerned citizen and business man, spent days researching this. Please watch his presentation. As of March 31, 2010, the Town actually has a SURPLUS of $7.1 million in its budget. Keep in mind that none of the budget cuts approved by the Town Council have been implemented. They won’t be implemented until 7/1/2010.
