Gila County Republican Party Votes to Censure Senator McCain

PRESS RELEASE
Contact:Gary P. Morris, Chairman, Gila County Republican Party 602-803-7366

For the second time since 2013, the Gila County Republican Party has censured Senator John McCain for his lack of adherence to Republican principles and the desires of his Republican constituents in Gila County. The censure from the May 14 Precinct Committeemen meeting states the Gila County Republican Party cannot, and will not, support Senator McCain in the upcoming elections.

In early fall of 2013, The Gila County Republican Party first censured Senator McCain for abandoning Republican principles as well as his participation and leadership in the "Gang of Eight" along with the Senator’s conscious and arrogant abandonment of the desires of his Republican constituents. Those eight senators drafted a poorly designed, ill thought out, "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" bill. Ultimately, Congress rejected the bill following substantial opposition from the public.

Alex Meluskey: Clueless about the National Defense Authorization Act

In this May 23, 2016 video produced by Dan Haggerty, you will see Alex Meluskey, who is running against John McCain and Dr. Kelli Ward, claim that, by far, he is the strongest of all candidates in the areas of national defense and foreign policy.  Yet, when asked if he supports the National Defense Authorization Act, he didn’t even know what it is.  The 2016 budget called for $604.2 billion in spending.

Arizona Rep Bob Thorpe Calls for Delegation to Reject Immigration Plan

On June 21, Arizona Representative Bob Thorpe (R-Dist. 6) sent a letter to Arizona’s Congressional Delegation asking them to withhold support for the Senate “Gang of 8” immigration bill. In the letter, sent to U.S. Senators John McCain & Jeff Flake as well as Congressmen Paul Gosar (R-Dist. 4), Matt Salmon (R-Dist. 5), David Schweikert (R-Dist. 6) and Trent Franks (R-Dist. 8) he stated,

“I am writing on behalf of the citizens of the Great and Sovereign State of Arizona to strongly urge you to vote against the one thousand plus page immigration bill currently being considered in the United States Senate.

“Never before have I seen such contempt for law enforcement officers as what I’ve seen from the Gang of Eight”

We have the rule of law in this country.  Here it is:  Section 8 of the United States Constitution.  "The Congress shall have the Power to ….establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization….”

Our own government, president, and elected representatives ignore our laws enacted by Congress and demand that Law Enforcement ignore them.  Solution?  Pass more laws.

Here are a few quotes from Chris Crane’s testimony:  “…this bill only guarantees legal status for illegal aliens.  It contains no promise of solving our immigration problems…”

“Since 2008, Obama has ignored many of the immigration laws enacted by Congress, and has instead created his own immigration system that unlawfully provides protections for millions of illegal aliens.”

“Never before have I seen such contempt for law enforcement officers as what I’ve seen from the Gang of Eight,” he said.

As you watch this unbelievable testimony from Chris Crane, ICE Officer and President of the National ICE Council representing our nation’s ICE officers, agents and staff, and former Marine, please do all possible to remove every member of the Gang of 8 from office:

Marco Rubio, R-FL.
Jeff Flake, R-AZ
John McCain, R-AZ
Lindsey Graham, R-SC
Dick Durbin, D-IL
Robert Menendez, D-NJ
Chuck Schumer, D- NY
Michael Bennett, D-Colo.

We are stuck with Flake until 2018 and McCain until 2016.  Help other states elect better Republicans.

Arizona’s Republican Precinct Committeemen vote to Censure John McCain

Saturday, January 11, 2014, the Precinct Committeemen representing Arizona’s Maricopa County Republican Committee met.  They voted on several Resolutions, one of which was the Censure of Sen. John McCain.  It was drafted by LD30 Chairman Timothy Schwartz, and it passed by an overwhelming 1,150 to 351 votes.  Maricopa County is the largest county in Arizona and has 63% of Arizona’s voters. McCain was also censured by the Mohave County Republican Committee on Jan 4, the Apache County Republican Committee on Jan 9, and the LD26 precinct committeemen rebuked him on Sept 9, 2013.  See the January 11, 2014 edition of MCRC Briefs.

There is a very good chance that other Arizona counties and Legislative Districts will be issuing similar censure resolutions.

John McCain seems to be listening to his own progressive press.  Reality is much different.   He isn’t the only professional politician who’s in trouble in his own state.  The conservatives in Ohio aren’t very pleased with Speaker of the House John Boehner, and probably for the same reasons that we in Arizona want to rid ourselves of John McCain.  Boehner has been in office since 1991.  There is a young, smart, hard-working man who is challenging Boehner in the primary:  J. D. Winteregg.

RESOLUTION #8:   Senator John McCain Censured by Arizona’s Republican Leadership — As leaders in the Republican Party, we are obligated to fully support our Party, platform, and its candidates. Only in times of great crisis or betrayal is it necessary to publicly censure our leaders. Today we are faced with both. For too long we have waited, hoping Senator McCain would return to our Party’s values on his own. That has not happened. So with sadness and humility we rise and declare:

New Poll: John McCain is the Least Popular Senator in America

According to a new poll published by Public Policy Polling, Arizona Senator John McCain is the least popular Senator in America.  Here is their brutal analysis:

PPP’s newest Arizona poll finds that John McCain is unpopular with Republicans, Democrats, and independents alike and has now become the least popular Senator in the country. Only 30% of Arizonans approve of the job McCain is doing to 54% who disapprove. There isn’t much variability in his numbers by party- he’s at 35/55 with Republicans, 29/53 with Democrats, and 25/55 with independents.

McCain trails in hypothetical general election match ups with both 2012 nominee Richard Carmona (41/35) and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords (42/35). He would lead though in a match-up with former Governor Janet Napolitano, 44/36. This has the potential to be an interesting one in 2016.

VA Patient Broke Back in December….Still Untreated

Mesa patriot Dan Dominey, who served in Viet Nam, was one of the veterans who has been fighting for months with the Phoenix Veterans Administration to obtain treatment.  He broke his back in December.  It was only after this Fox News interview that he finally got scheduled for pre-op tests and an out-patient procedure to inject his back with surgical cement.

There is a disturbing back story on the VA issue.   Senator John McCain was made aware of the problems with the VA back in September 2013.  It wasn’t until last month that McCain came out "fighting" for his fellow veterans, and soaking up all the TV face time in the process.

Here’s what happened. For years, whistle blower Dr. Katherine Mitchell had been notifying hospital administrators about the huge delays, inadequate triage, near misses, and a spike in suicides.  Nothing was done.

In desperation, she filed a confidential complaint with the Office of Inspector General, channeled through McCain’s office. Within days after she made the complaint via McCain’s office, she was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation for "unspecified wrongdoing."

How many lives could John McCain have saved if he had acted back in September?

On June 11, 2012, President Obama nominated William Orrick III  to be a United States District Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.  Orrick was a “huge Democratic donor” and bundler for President Obama, raising at least $200,000 for Obama and donated $30,800 to committees supporting him.  He had been recommended by Planned-Parenthood cheerleader Sen. Barbara Boxer.

Actions YOU can Take to “Defund” Planned Parenthood

Because Planned Parenthood receives at least $540 million in federal government grants, it is extremely important that we all continue to apply pressure to Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake, as well as our U.S. Representatives Matt Salmon, Paul Gosar, Trent Franks, Martha McSally, David Schweikert, Ann Kirkpatrick, Raul Grijalva, Ruben Gallego, and Kyrsten Sinema, to defund this hideous organization.  Click HERE for their contact information.

However, as a private citizen, YOU also have the power to defund Planned Parenthood!  When you buy products from companies that support liberal organizations, you are supporting the abortion industry, the breakdown of the family, and gun control.  In contrast, when you buy products from companies that support conservative organizations, you are supporting pro life, the family, and Second Amendment Rights.  Find out more below.

Pro Amnesty John McCain to Honor the Late Ted Kennedy

John McCain is at it again.  A recent article reveals that he has promised the Hispanic Chamber that he will fight for Immigration Reform (aka Amnesty) as long as he’s breathing.   If Senator John McCain decides to run again in 2016, we know  he will once again drape himself in conservative clothing and "talk tough" about the border and his fabulous "conservative" record.  He will be hoping that enough Arizonans will have developed amnesia about McCain’s actual record.

So, just remember this:

McCain and the late Kennedy tried to pass the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill last decade, along with President George W. Bush. Conservatives halted the measure because it would have reduced the wages of American workers while not solving the illegal immigration problem.

And this:

The high-tech lobby, the Chamber of Commerce, and the same groups that wanted amnesty then are redoubling their efforts this year, which amnesty advocates like Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) have said may be the last chance for such legislation.

And this:
