There is a critical bill making its way through Congress called HR5 Student Success Act. This bill has been written to not only defeat Common Core, but to also return educational authority to the States, Local Schools, and Parents. On June 19, the Education & Workforce Committee passed HR5 on a Full Committee partisan vote of 23-16. It was then moved to the House Floor.
HR5 is scheduled in the Rules Committee to be worked on this afternoon (July 17). There are about 74 amendments to the bill to consider. The bill may go to the floor of the House for a vote either Thursday, July 18, or Friday, July 19.
