For those heading north to Payson for the celebration of Independence Day, here is the schedule for July 4:
Green Valley Park: Payson Paints the Town Red, White, and Blue
8:00 am Patriotic ceremony to salute all military personnel.
1:00 – 4:00 pm Kid games–sack races, egg tosses, tug of wars, and the annual Payson Arizona Foot Race.
6:00 – 9:00 pm Live music from Nashville recording artist Candyce and the Raizen Kain Band.
9:00 pm Best Rim Country fireworks display begins.
NOTE: There will be limited parking at Green Valley Park. Evening shuttle buses will run from the Payson High School to the park beginning at 5:30 pm. To board the buses, turn left onto West Longhorn Drive from Highway 260 and the Beeline Highway (aka 87). Make another left onto McLane Rd, then follow the signs to the Payson High School Administration parking lot. This will serve as the main pick up and drop off point.
