Gilbert Watch Supports Lester Pearce for Maricopa County Board of Supervisors

Lester Pearce, the brother of Russell Pearce, has decided to run against Steve Chucri for District 2 Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (MCBOS).

Judge Pearce served as an Arizona State Senator from 1989 to 1995. He served as a Justice of the Peace in the North Mesa Justice Court for the last 15 years. He has been the Presiding Justice of the Peace for Maricopa County for the last year and a half. He recently resigned his position to run for MCBOS, District 2.

Lester Pearce’s past voting record is very much the same as Russell Pearce’s. He clearly understands the issues.

The problem with Steve Chucri is this: He has stated that one of his goals is to "figure out how to break down barriers for job creation and get people back to work."

But wait! Does he want to get legal citizens back to work? Or does he want to get illegal aliens back to work"?

The fact is that in 2007 as president of the Arizona Restaurant and Hospitality Association, he joined many other pro-illegal, open borders groups and employers who thrive by hiring cheap illegal labor in a lawsuit against Arizona over Employer Sanctions laws. Some of those groups included Chicanos por LaCausa, Somos America, Wake up America!, the Arizona Farm Bureau Federation, Arizona Landscape Contractors’ Association, Arizona Contractors Association, etc.

These groups hire farm laborers, restaurant workers, landscape workers, construction workers…. These are the very industries that thrive on cheap illegal alien labor.
