Lester Pearce to Run for Maricopa County Board of Supervisors? YEA!!!

Lester Pearce, Arizona Senator from 1989 to 1995, and current Justice of the Peace in the North Mesa Justice Court, has opened an exploratory committee to run for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. He is asking for help in gathering petition signatures.

With the departure of Don “Quisling” Stapley, this is great news!

Lester’s past voting record is very much the same as his brother, Russell Pearce’s voting record.

He will be running against Steve Chucri for the District 2 position.

For those who don’t know Steve Chucri and his associations with the open borders crowd, here is some information from the blog S.H.I.E.L.D.

Here’s a sampling:

Did you know that, while Chucri was president of this organization, the Arizona Restaurant and Hospitality Association was one of the orgnizations back in 2007/2008 that was a plaintiff in the lawsuit against the state of Arizona to block the employer-sanctions law from taking effect on the grounds it was unconstitutional?

Was Chucri joining other business owners in the fight, because of his “Libertarian” principles and rock solid commitment to the Constitution?

No, he and the restaurant owners he stood with know there is money to be made by employing illegal aliens. These employers save on their payroll and health-care costs while the taxpayer picks up the tab, plus related education, welfare, and incarceration costs.

With whom did Steve Chucri stand against employer sanctions laws? http://dockets.justia.com/docket/circuit-courts/ca9/07-17272/

Somos Arizona, headed by Lydia Guzman, friend of fellow open borders Leftist Randy Parraz.

Chicanos por la Causa

Jason LeVecke (Carl’s Jr.) and big supporter of AZEIR (Arizona Employers for Immigration Reform, code word "Amnesty.”)

Mac Magruder (Chairman of Wake Up Arizona! and McDonald’s franchisee). According to S.H.I.E.L.D., "Wake Up Arizona! donated over $38,000 to a PAC called Stop Illegal Hiring, which was set up to help pass the proposed “Stop Illegal Hiring Act” or Prop 202 back in 2008. Its name was intended to confuse. It was actually a law which would lessen the already enacted employer sanctions laws, and required Arizona to wait until the Federal Government took action first against an employer before the state would be allowed to do anything. Prop 202 failed at the ballot box.”

Oh, the feral cunning of some people…

Chucri is currently on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce. This group was also a plaintiff in the lawsuit to stop employer sanctions laws.
