Just in from Galt’s Gulch!
Recently overheard in District 9:
Little Benny to Dad:
“Daddy, I want a new pony. The last one you bought me is hard to ride and take care of. Not only that, but there’s a mean girl Kyrsten, who says she’s going to take it away from me!”
Dad to Little Benny:
“I thought you wanted to be a cowboy! That was a very expensive pony. You had to have it! Why don’t you learn to ride it and take care of it? I think you could beat up mean girl Kyrsten if you tried.”
Little Benny to Dad:
(In a whiny voice). “You just don’t understand. I still want to be a cowboy. I just don’t like this pony anymore, and I think it would be easier to ride David Schweikert’s pony, so I want his pony. Besides, Schweikert won’t be as mean to me as Kyrsten.”
Dad to Little Benny:
“Oh, ok. I hate to see you sad. Let’s see how much it will cost. Maybe your Uncle McCain can help. He knows how to be mean to Republicans. (Pats Little Benny on the head.) Nothing’s too good for my boy.”
