It is with great sadness that I write of the loss of Mike Richardson. On May 10, 2015, he was posting articles on his Facebook page. On May 15, he was gone. He died from complications following minor shoulder surgery. In a way, his death was much like his life. He never dawdled.
Whether you had known him for many years, or worked side by side with him for just a few hours, you knew him. His beaming smile, mischievous humor, energy, and passion overwhelmed you. He was ageless. I was shocked to learn that he was 70. If you fought as hard as he did for our individual liberties, he called you "foxhole buddy." This is his Facebook profile picture:
He despised political leaders who were quick with smooth words and weak on principle. In fact, he was as fearsome as a honey badger when attacking their corruption. I am so sad.
Mike’s good friend, Tom Morrissey, advised that Mike Richardson’s celebration of life will be held next Saturday (5-23-15) at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 South Dobson in Mesa. It will be from 12 Noon until 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make donations to whatever charity or organization that you think best represents Mike’s own passion for liberty and individual freedom.
He knew that today’s youth are tomorrow’s future. You won’t go wrong by supporting organizations like the Young Americans for Liberty, which has several chapters throughout Arizona.
