Sylvia Allen Elected by Precinct Committeemen to run for AZ Senate in LD6

On Saturday, August 30, 2014, nearly 100 precinct committeemen traveled to Flagstaff to unanimously elect Sylvia Tenney Allen to be our Republican candidate for the Arizona Senate, representing Legislative District 6.  We came from Gila, Navajo, Yavapai, and Coconino counties.  Ms. Allen will replace Senator Chester Crandell on the ballot.  Chester passed away last month after a horseback incident.

Sylvia will face Independent Tom O’Halleran in the November 4 General Election.  O’Halleran is a former Republican Arizona legislator who changed parties to suit his agenda.  In this case, he switched from an "R" to an "I," because he knew he couldn’t beat a conservative Republican.  He has been wooing Democrats since gathering their signatures on his petition.

Ms. Allen is also a former Arizona legislator who always fought hard on behalf of Republican principles.

Flagstaff Council member Jeff Oravits, State Senate LD6 Candidate Sylvia Allen, Coconino County Republican Chairman Joy Stavely, AZGOP Chairman Robert Graham, LD6 Arizona Representatives Brenda Barton and Bob Thorpe.
