Tyler Hudgins is One of 11 Gilbert People to Watch in 2011

At just 19 years old, Tyler Hudgins was recently identified in the December 31, 2010 issue of AZCentral.com as one of “11 Gilbert People to Watch for in 2011.” Here’s the link: http://www.azcentral.com/community/gilbert/articles/2010/12/30/20101230gilbert-2011-people-to-watch.html

The article was brief, and so it made reference to just one of Tyler’s many accomplishments: his recent election as treasurer for the Republican Party Committee in Legislative District 22.

Before this, Tyler campaigned for Doug Ducey, who won as Arizona State Treasurer. Before that, he helped conservative Jesse Kelly in his uphill battle against Gabrielle Giffords for U.S. House of Representatives in Tucson’s CD8. This is where Tyler learned about the not-so-nice political methods of a well entrenched, well funded incumbent and the political machine behind her. He also worked hard for another conservative Republican, Jonathon Paton.

Tyler is no stranger to Gilbert politics or the Gilbert Town Council. While still in high school, he shadowed Council Member Linda Abbott, attending more Council meetings than just about anybody who wasn’t on the payroll.

He’s had the opportunity to study all of the incumbents running for Town Council this Spring.

But it was Eddie Cook, candidate for Gilbert Town Council, who Tyler Hudgins decided to support. He is Eddie’s campaign manager. Eddie Cook recognized the exceptional qualities of Tyler Hudgins long before 2011.
