Congratulations to Steve Chandler and Andrew McKee for presenting a wonderful benefit concert on Monday, March 26th for the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley. Without anyone asking them, Andrew and Steve saw a need in the community and made a decision to do something. So they pulled together a few wonderful stories and songs and performed for a packed auditorium at Heritage Academy.
This case study is an important example of how a social service can find ways to replace funding caused by cut backs in government support. Not only did this concert raise money for the Boys and Girls Club, but it also inspired many people to develop strong relationships with the Club.
More special events like this will continue to strengthen our community in more ways than one. Thanks to Andrew and Steve for their leadership and example!
