Donald Trump: One-Man-Wrecking Ball Suited for our Times

I didn’t vote for Trump. But I agree with former Senate President Russell Pearce, Treasurer Jeff DeWit, conservative activist Sandi Bartlett, and a host of others that we must rally behind Trump as our next President. His detractors say he’s flip-flopped on issues. He isn’t a "true" conservative. He’s uncouth, narcissistic, and unrefined. All of that may be true. They say he’s racist. He’s sexist. I don’t believe that. But why is he so popular with the American people? This article addresses that question, and explores another one: Is it possible, as asked by Australian Pastor Steve Cioccolanti , that the Hand of God is on Donald Trump, "for such a time as this"? If so, it won’t be the first time that God has used the most unlikely of men for His Purpose.

As to Donald Trump’s popularity, Scott S. Powell believes that Trump possesses "qualities that are among those most vital to rebuilding relations with America’s allies and restoring respect — even fear — from adversaries. Mr. Trump’s directness also suggests he is the best-suited presidential candidate to take on America’s insolvency. He could be the president who corrects the nation’s out-of-control spending, deficits and unsustainable debt. Trump’s toughness may be the key virtue needed to rule in a divided country and to successfully downsize and restructure federal agencies and get Washington out of the way of the American economy and its people."

America: The Unprotected and the Suicidal

To summarize statements made by Powell, Cioccolanti, and others, the truth is that there are more forces pulling the United States down than at any other time in history. Political correctness and intolerance debilitates critical thinking, speaking, and debate. Throughout the seven plus years of the Obama administration, political correctness has driven domestic and foreign policy, with disastrous results. Political Correctness has prevented development of an effective strategy to deal with Islamist terrorism. It has turned U.S. relations in the Middle East upside down. Instead of Egypt’s president Hosni Mubarak, a long-standing U.S. ally, we now have the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi. Muammar Gaddafi was hunted down and killed, only to be followed by increased violence in Libya, leading to the tragedy and humiliation of the U.S. at the hands of terrorists in Benghazi.

Obama is overtly pro Islam and more concerned about Islamophobia than Islamic terror. Under Obama, we are experiencing the worst Middle East turmoil, with crises after crises. Obama gave Iran a nuclear deal to develop their nuclear program. Unless you hate America, this decision is insanely suicidal. American lives are being lost in the Middle East. Throughout the world, we are experiencing Islamic terrorist attacks in record numbers. Obama is weak, and his threats and promises are empty words. He ignores Christians, minorities, and children being crucified and slaughtered. He’s more concerned about protecting Muslims.

Obama has repeatedly assaulted the First Amendment, undermining both speech and the exercise of Christian religion. We now see an Orwellian power structure that seeks to advance a statist, socialist, and globalist transformation of the U.S. by silencing opposing views through the courts, misinformation, and distortion of the truth. Call it what you want, its purpose is to shape the thinking of the masses and obfuscate the truth.

We have an overbearing federal government that has corrupted both parties, the bureaucracies, and even the supposedly independent Federal Reserve.

Obama is the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history. The womb should be the safest place in the world for an unborn human being, but it has proven to be the most dangerous. Who could have imagined a civilized society that would allow millions of the most helpless to be ripped apart limb by limb? Hillary has stated that she would nominate justices to the Supreme Court who support abortion. Bernie Sanders has promised to do the same.

Obama has rebuked one of our strongest allies, Israel. His end run around the U.S. Congress, forcing through a fundamentally flawed nuclear deal with Iran, has given his blessing to the top exporter of hate and the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, whose longstanding primary targets are the United States and Israel.

We have a wave of illegal immigrants flooding over the Mexican border, and a federal government that not only refuses to stop them, but also encourages them.

Grassroots Republicans tried to bring about a corrective, and they succeeded in getting many conservative reform candidates elected to congress in the last six years. Yet the stranglehold of political correctness and the corruption of Washington from special interests and lobbyists have proven insurmountable. Washington, DC has limited industry and no manufacturing, but is the richest city in the country, while driving the nation to the edge of financial ruin, with a national debt exceeding $19 trillion, 47 million people on food stamps, and a true unemployment rate that may be three times higher than the manipulated official rate released by the federal government.

The Republican Party is as incapable of protecting our rights and values at home as it was in stopping an errant foreign policy that undermined trust with allies and emboldened enemies.

The other choices for president are two socialists who will join the media in more political correctness, open borders, friendship with our enemies, disdain for our friends, destruction of fundamental rights, the annihilation of Western civilization, and more murders of unborn children. Calls for a "third party" will result in one of those socialists getting elected. Unless you want to put the destruction of our Republic on the fast track, vote for the imperfect, crude, arrogant Trump. I’d rather hear his voice for the next 4-8 years than Hillary or Bernie’s.

To put it mildly, Americans are fed up.

Possible Reasons for Trump’s Popularity

Donald Trump "deserves credit more than any conservative for fracturing the foundation of political correctness, upon which rests the entire liberal superstructure. No one else has been able to destroy the media machine’s Political correctness and intolerance, like Donald Trump. His style of common sense plain talk has the potential to make huge inroads into both independent and liberal constituencies who are waking up to the absurdities of political correctness. While many still can’t see clearly, the fog is lifting, and the soul, spontaneity and humor of America is making an incipient revival, even in the midst of rancor."

Donald Trump is considered the only outsider, the only self-funding non-politician. Other candidates have received millions from Wall Street and other special interest groups. Hillary has received hundreds of millions from Muslims. These groups don’t make contributions like this unless they expect something in return.

Some have criticized Trump for saying he understands Putin and can work with him. But consider why Trump would say this. Russia’s Vladimir Putin, like Donald Trump, is both powerful and in control. When Putin says he’s going to do something, he does it. He sees Christians being tortured and murdered in Syria. He goes in, bombs ISIS to hell and gets out.

Trump is unequivocal about obliterating ISIS quickly and decisively — ending its wanton slaughter of Christians and other ethnic groups….. Both Trump and Putin exude confidence, ambition and a keenness to make good deals, get results and win. They are bold, direct and don’t shy away from confrontation. Trump is tough as nails, unrelenting and unpredictable with adversaries.

Trump wants to protect life, and is on record stating he would nominate a pro-life Supreme Court justice.

Donald Trump stands up for Israel and has pledged under his presidency to keep Israel safe. One of the last straws for Americans has been Obama’s hostility toward Israel. America has had a long-standing friendship with our freedom-loving ally. We like Netanyahu, the Jews, and Israel. Jesus was a Jew.

Trump is unapologetic and tough about building a wall and stopping the wave of illegal immigrants flooding over the Mexican border.

Trump is unquestionably and refreshingly patriotic. He puts protection of Americans first.

Every president has claimed to be Christian, but Trump publicly waves his mother’s Bible and declares, "I love the Bible"! While Christians debate his genuineness, they fail to see that he boldly and fearlessly acknowledges God and declares the Bible to be the best Book! Surely, a man after God’s Heart.

Trump has the endorsement of a genuine, born-again Christian Dr. Ben Carson. Not only is the highly intelligent Carson the first neurosurgeon to separate twins conjoined at the head, he is also a preacher.

As pointed out by Steve Cioccolanti, preachers can and should talk about politics. The term "separation of church and state" doesn’t appear in any of our Founding documents. Rather, the term "wall of separation" was used by Thomas Jefferson in a letter he wrote to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802, reassuring them that the government would not establish a church. This term has been taken out of context and perverted to mean the opposite of its intent, which was to allow for the free exercise of religious belief. Government cannot prohibit the free exercise of religion. Its aim was freedom of religion…NOT freedom from religion. No matter what "the courts" have determined, it was never intended to be a club to drive religion out of the public square.

Is the Hand of God on Donald Trump, "for such a time as this"?

In his sermon titled The Donald Trump Prophecy – End Time Presidential Election 2016, Pastor Steve Cioccolanti correctly identifies many of the serious problems facing America, and he understands Trump’s popularity as previously described. He notes the intent of Thomas Jefferson and the Founders who acknowledged the freedom of expression of religion. He also notes that the Bible gives examples of prophets and ordinary believers who influenced politics.

But Pastor Cioccolanti goes a step further, citing God’s prophecies, prophetic names, and His love of puns and word plays. For example, he notes that Donald Trump is frequently referred to as "The Donald." Donald is a Scottish/Celtic name made up of Dumno (World) and Val (Ruler), which is interpreted as "The Ruler of the World." "Trump" is a play on Triumph (Victory) and Trump (Trumpet).

He notes that, in the Bible, names can be prophetic, and that God has frequently used unlikely people for His purposes. Isaiah predicted a ruler by name 200 years before he was born. Isaiah 44:28-45:1. "That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid. Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut."

Unbelievable to the Jews at the time was that the name, Cyrus, was not a Jewish name, and the Cyrus that Isaiah spoke of wasn’t Jewish, but rather the king of their enemy. Cyrus the Great, king of Persia, was the monarch under whom the Babylonian captivity ended, for according to the Bible, in the first year of his reign, he was prompted by God to make a decree that the Temple in Jerusalem should be rebuilt and that such Jews as cared to might return.

The Bible is mostly prophecy, and God has frequently used unlikely people for His purposes. Sometimes he used them to influence politics.

Esther 4:14 "For if you altogether hold your peace at this time, then shall relief and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but you and your father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knows whether you are come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

"So," asks Pastor Cioccolanti, "did God single out Donald Trump, raise him up to be the outsider he is, to be His unlikely servant?"

Corinthians 15:51-52. "Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed."

If so–if God is using Donald Trump–then no one can stop him, for they won’t be fighting Trump. Rather, they will be fighting against God.

Acts 5:38–39. "Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

No matter who becomes president, Pastor Cioccolanti asks that they listen to his advice:

1. You must not divide the land if israel, or God will not forgive you.

2. You must cleanse the land of corrupt judges. Choose the godliest person to the U.S. Supreme Court.

3. You must protect God’s greatest gifts: children. Stop public funding of abortion (Planned Parenthood).

4. Promote the traditional family, headed by man and woman. Children have a right to a mother and a father.

And finally, wouldn’t it be better to have a beautiful, successful business woman, Milania Trump, in the White House as First Lady, rather than the scandal-ridden, sex addict Bill Clinton as First Man?
