Gilbert General Fund Has a Surplus Ending April 2010

Once again the Gilbert General Fund has a Surplus ending April 2010. Today the April 2010 fiscal year-to-date (FYTD) Budget Report was released. The great news is that the General Fund Balance has a surplus of $8,528,487. This is an increase of $1,409,477 from March’s 2010 Budget Report. The Town Manager reported that the surplus was projected to be at $5,968,270 for April. In summary the Town has exceeded their current goals by $2,560,217 ending April 2010. The town is executing wonderfully in keeping their expenses below projected General Fund Budget. At this pace the Town of Gilbert should end with a surplus on June 30th closing out FY09-10.
