Did you know that Victor Petersen is not only a Gilbert Town Council Member, but he is also the Director of For Our City – Gilbert? He has worked tirelessly to connect local volunteers to local charities serving local needs. The key word is "volunteer." Victor does not believe that taxpayers should fund charities. Gilbert Watch agrees with him.

Victor knows that there are many people in the Gilbert community who want to offer their services to those in need. He wants to help get them connected to opportunities for heart-felt giving. In that effort, he has helped sponsor the Gilbert Gives website where people can go to see what opportunities currently exist in Gilbert.
The key to this working is for people to sign up for the email updates that are sent out once a week to keep you in the loop on those opportunities.
All you need to do is go to Gilbert Gives and enter your email address in the box at the bottom of the page and press “submit.” That’s it. It’s really easy.
Gilbert Gives currently has an incentive for people to sign up for emails before the end of the month. By entering your email address, you will be in the random drawing next month. If you are selected, $500 will be donated on your behalf to the charity of your choice!
