The East Valley Tribune’s endorsement criteria for Gilbert Town Council candidates set the bar to an all new low. The criteria are listed as the background and knowledge to move Gilbert forward and candidates who are consensus builders.

Do you know more about what is going on in Pakistan, Greece, and Washington DC, than here in Gilbert? You may not realize it but the Progressives have been slowly getting a foothold right here. They call themselves Republicans, but they have been fighting hard to raise your taxes. Price is no object when they’re spending YOUR money on vast areas of parkland. Price is no object when it comes time to develop the land into recreational facilities. Tonight, May 17, 2011, the voters of Gilbert, Arizona accomplished what many Americans have been struggling to change in Washington, DC. They elected a Conservative Town Council.

“Gilbert offers business guidance. The Town of Gilbert is trying to make the process of opening a business as easy as possible, and they’ve launched a webpage and brochure that serves as a step-by-step guide at www.gilbertaz.gov/openabusiness."
